I've been a supporter of Stand Beside Them since I came to America with my wife Whitney a few years ago, and I'm raising funds to help support America's veterans and their caregivers/spouses by providing them with life and career coaching. Please help me reach my fundraising goal and create a brighter future for all veterans by donating to Stand Beside Them (SBT)!

I am continually amazed by the tremendous work my friend Stephanie Richmond and her national 501c3nonprofit SBT is doing to help veterans and their families. Did you know that coaching from a certified, experienced coach can make a tremendous difference in the life of a transitioning veteran or veteran spouse? That's what Stand Beside Them does. They provide life, career, small business development coaching to transitioning vets and their spouses/caregivers. Here’s an example of the impact SBT is having:

  • Alice, a former U.S. Army sergeant, worked with one of our experienced career coaches to move through the rigorous application process for a federal job, totally revamping her resume into a federally-required and very detailed format. They also spent coaching sessions practicing interview skills. The result: Alice secured what she called her “dream job” at the Veterans Administration (VA), where she will be counseling other veterans.
  • Ivan, a Marine veteran from a small town in the Northwest, was about to transition into academic life as a Graduate student at Columbia University when he came to SBT. With his experienced SBT coach (who also happened to be a Marine veteran) he learned how to network and was able to cast doubts aside about moving to New York City to attend one of the most competitive universities in the country. He has established a network of friends and veteran colleagues, and is thriving at Columbia.
  • Marylynn, a military widow of a fallen Army hero, was struggling with the overwhelming challenge of raising three adolescent children by herself. An SBT experienced life coach provided what Marylynn called, "an essential outside perspective at a very difficult, stressful time.” She is one of several military widows we’ve coached since our launch in 2013.

Last year Stand Beside Them was able to coach close to 150 veterans with its 12 session program and with your help this wonderful 501c3 nonprofit can double its efforts this coming year!

Please help me reach my goal this summer to help this growing organization reach an even greater number of veterans and their spouses/caregivers. Even just a small donation will go a long way to ensuring a brighter future for all veterans!
