Your Support for SBT's annual Summer fundraiser 2019 will help us propel our mission further, impacting the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for us!

Since our launch in 2013, and with the generosity of caring folks like you, we’ve been able to provide thousands of coaching sessions to transitioning military veterans, their spouses, and caregivers. We've had a tremendous impact, as we continue to hear success stories from the wonderful veterans and spouses we've coached. Here’s a sampling of the impact SBT is having:

  • Alice, a former U.S. Army sergeant, worked with one of our experienced career coaches to move through the rigorous application process for a federal job, totally revamping her resume into a federally-required and very detailed format. They also spent coaching sessions practicing interview skills. The result: Alice secured what she called her “dream job” at the Veterans Administration (VA), where she will be counseling other veterans.
  • Ivan, a Marine veteran from a small town in the Northwest, was about to transition into academic life as a Graduate student at Columbia University when he came to SBT. With his experienced SBT coach (who also happened to be a Marine veteran) he learned how to network and was able to cast doubts aside about moving to New York City to attend one of the most competitive universities in the country. He has established a network of friends and veteran colleagues, and is thriving at Columbia.
  • Marylynn, a military widow of a fallen Army hero, was struggling with the overwhelming challenge of raising three adolescent children by herself. An SBT experienced life coach provided what Marylynn called, "an essential outside perspective at a very difficult, stressful time.” She is one of several military widows we’ve coached since our launch in 2013.

These three instances and countless others (click here to see more) give us great motivation to keep our mission going strong. Last year we coached approximately 150 veterans through our 12-session program and we'd like to coach 300 or more this year. We've created a resource center on our website to help veterans and spouses navigate obstacles as they transition, and we'd like to increase our marketing efforts big-time so that more veteran families can learn about SBT and register for coaching. We can achieve these goals with the kind and generous contributions of people like you. Your gift will help us continue to pair veterans and their spouses/caregivers with professionally trained coaches who can help them achieve success at home, at work, and in the community.

As you may not be aware, 22 veterans commit suicide every single day. Our goal this summer is to raise $22,000 so that we can do our part to see that number eradicated. We have found that helping veterans find a new, fulfilling purpose after the military is our way of contributing, and you can join us. SBT’s vision is a brighter future for all veterans. Will you help us realize that vision?

Honor the 75th Anniversary of D-Day with us this summer and honor all veterans and their families by supporting SBT!
