Jerome and Catherine Wile's Fundraiser
Join me in support of SBT & veterans transitioning back to civilian life...we can continue to make a difference together!
Stand Beside Them (SBT) is composed of 175 volunteer coaches, and I'm honored to be one of them, will you help me raise $ for our cause?
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
I'm raising funds to help Stand Beside Them (SBT) coach more veterans to the bright futures they deserve! Will you help me?
I want to thank all of you who have responded to my fund raising requests and contributed to Stand Beside Them (SBT) over the past few years. Together we have raised nearly $3500 so that SBT could be there to help veterans. As many of you know, I was a US Army 1st Lieutenant and served in Viet Nam in 1968. We all remember how veterans were treated back then, and are adamant to see veterans receive the attention, care, and respect that they deserve as they navigate obstacles during the difficult transition back to civilian life.
As a therapist, a coach, and a veteran, I've had a unique perspective and opportunity as part of the Stand Beside Them family. We started with six coaches in NYC at SBT's launch in 2013 (my photo above), and I've watched (and supported) SBT grow now to 175 coaches in 28 states. Coaching young veterans as they acclimate to new careers and civilian life has been very rewarding; I look forward to more coaching opportunities with SBT throughout the year. SBT couldn't have done this without the help of generous people like you, my friends, so I'm turning to you to be our heroes once again and help make a difference together on behalf of more veterans.
Here's a few of Stand Beside Them's accomplishments in 2017:
- SBT added 40 new coaches on to its roster, now totaling 175 and 14 of the new coaches come from the military!
- SBT has raised its visibility, attracting partnerships with academic (University of Michigan) and corporate entities (Accenture, L'OrealUSA).
- SBT continued to bring coaches to coach on-site at veteran events in Washington, D.C., Fort Knox, Phoenix, Tucson, and NYC, with plans to do more across the country.
- SBT developed a "Corporate Veteran Coaching Program" to help newly-hired veterans adjust to corporate culture.
- SBT partnered with another organization to coach 50 female veterans.
- SBT has great plans for this coming year...to roll out the corporate veteran coaching program in full force; to expand to the 20 remaining states where we still don't have coaches; and to intensify our marketing efforts to reach more veterans than ever before. Our work is having a great impact! Many of our coachees are finding jobs and starting new businesses.
Please help SBT as we stand beside our veterans together! Any amount that you can donate will make a difference. Thanks for taking the time to consider helping this worthy organization.
Best, Jere
